General Posting Policies
This forum serves many purposes, and we need guidelines to ensure we can communicate successfully. If you would like to add or amend something to this list, please make a post below. Moderators will incorporate your comments and then delete your post so this remains an easy reference.
- Do not post personal information; if you need to communicate your address, phone number or email, please do so in a private message
- Keep meeting and event planning threads on topic so they don't become difficult to navigate
- When possible, use gender-neutral language (they instead of s/he, partner instead of girl/boyfriend) in discussions
- Keep our policies on trigger warnings in mind when posting articles or posts with graphic language and/or imagery
Above all, this forum is a safe space. If you post sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic or otherwise hateful comments you will be banned immediately. Be respectful of other members, and if something offends you, take a minute to calm down and then consider how to use it as a teaching moment. Likewise, if someone calls you out on something, take a minute to calm down and then consider what you can take away from what they've shared. We're all here to make change together and learn from each other. Let's give each other the benefit of the doubt.
